DICOM International: Swiss National Grid Company Optimizes Business Processes With KnowledgeLake SharePoint-Solution
Swissgrid expands Microsoft SharePoint into a high-performance ECM-platform by implementing KnowledgeLake ImagingKriens
(Switzerland), July 3, 2012 – DICOM International, the leading value added distributor of hardware and software solutions for document capture in EMEA, today announced that the company has successfully closed a deal with Switzerland´s national grid company, Swissgrid.
In cooperation with local IT-service provider innobit, DICOM provides Swissgrid with a KnowledgeLake imaging solution to optimize the company’s document driven business processes. By this enhancement of the already existing Microsoft infrastructure, Swissgrid will be able to conveniently integrate and share all information relevant for the documentation of business critical processes within SharePoint.
The respective preparation and archiving of all documents occurs directly from any Office application. As KnowledgeLake allows to add indexing information via simple mouse click, the subsequent retrieval of any required information gets done within seconds. In the launch period, Swissgrid will utilize the new solution for the documentation of processes that are critical to the operation of its technical infrastructure.
