Prior to implementing Hyperion’s Essbase software, BJ’s financial reports were generated from mainframe and hard copy reports coming from its 150 clubs, making analysis a cumbersome and time consuming process. The tax department uses Hyperion Essbase to analyze financial results by jurisdiction and work on the tax calendar instead of the company’s fiscal calendar for tax returns.
