PLEASANTON, Calif., Oct. 20 / — Documentum today announced that RWE Thames Water, the third largest water and wastewater services company in the world, has deployed the Documentum ECM platform to manage content for its worldwide Internet and intranet sites. The Documentum ECM platform, implemented by Documentum Alliance partner PA Consulting, enables Thames Water to provide a quick and controlled method of creating, managing, delivering and archiving web content.
Since its recent merger with RWE, one of Europe’s largest utility (electricity, gas and water) companies, Thames Water has become a powerful force in the global water industry. Using the Documentum ECM platform, Thames Water supports multi-language presentation and enables a wide range of non-technical users across Thames Water’s worldwide business to contribute content with built-in workflows that ensure the necessary approvals before publication. The company has dramatically accelerated time-to-web for publishing to its Internet and intranets publishing process, while establishing a structure to ensure that accurate information is published.
