The UNC Health Care System is a not-for-profit integrated healthcare system owned by the state of North Carolina. It is affiliated with the University of North Carolina Medical School, drawing from a pool of approximately 1,800 faculty physicians and physicians-in-training to provide care for patients across the state. The system’s ten hospitals and network of community clinics and medical practices treat more than 800,000 people annually.
